EMAIL MARKETING COURSE: Coming soon! ----- Today we’re going to give you three tips on how to increase your email open rates drastically! This idea came to me when someone messaged me saying their emails only had a 3% open rate! If you’re in the same boat as them – stop spending your money right now, take a look at these tips, and try again! 1. MAKE IT TO THE INBOX FOLDER What folder are your emails getting sent into? If you’ve checked your email recently you must be pretty aware on how (specifically, Google) divides its mail into you main Inbox, Social, and Promotions. If you have too many links, or too many CTAs, they’ll automatically mark it as a Promotion, because that’s what it is. What you need to do is treat your email like you’d be sending it to just one person. You wouldn’t sound so pushy or so salesman-like while trying to recommend something then, right? A useful tool here is GlockApps: https://glockapps.com/. It’s a Spam Testing Tool that will read through your email then report back what’s wrong with it. 2. SUBEJCT LINE To put it simply: work on your subject line. Let’s say you finally got into their inbox – great! But what will drive them to open it? Does your subject line make them curious? Does it have a sense of urgency? Does it seem personalized to them? Having a subject line that captures their interest will dramatically increase your open rates! 3. IS IT GOING THROUGH THEIR SPAM FILTER If you use big name Email Marketing Companies like Aweber or MailChimp, they're grouping you with a bunch of other people and sending your emails from the same server. And let’s say there’s one guy in your server who’s sending out spam, well, Google will go “this server sends spam, so everything from here is spam” - you’re getting punished for something that’s not even your fault. This is why we recommend getting your own SMTP.
